With my project at the time being completely mismanaged, Jeremy was forced to deal with the daunting task of reorganizing our operations and reconciling a job that was headed for financial failure.
I was a young engineer at the time, and my first impression of Jeremy was that of great respect and trust. Jeremy holds everyone accountable, regardless of their position. If direction was given, the expectation was that it was followed verbatim. If a team member or subcontractor promised a deliverable on a certain date, that date became the expectation.
It is important for employees to be able to trust the abilities of their superiors, and I never once doubted that if Jeremy said he would make something happen, that he indeed would. Jeremy has helped guide my career in a way that speaks a great deal about his character. I saw firsthand that he truly cares about the people he works with, and about doing what is right.
As an Operations Manager, you will get a man who is devoted to his work and to his word, as well as someone who will always be looking for ways to improve overall efficiency, while also being willing to humble himself and follow orders from his superiors regardless of whether he disagrees.
Jeremy is not a yes-man, and can always be counted on to give his true opinion. He is also always open to a rebuttal, because he genuinely believes the best idea should win, even if he did not come up with it.
